Since it’s inception The Blue Mountains Curling Centre has been using rocks provided by Curling Ontario as start up assistance. We now have the option to purchase these rocks for $19,000.

As a one day a week curling centre operating on Fridays out of the Beaver Valley Arena, we provide a relaxed less competitive atmosphere for recreational curlers. With our operations limited to one day a week we have a limited membership of about 80 curlers.

Many of our members are beginners who want to try out the sport, or seniors who enjoy stick curling in our less competitive environment.

As we operate on a not-for-profit basis, our limited operation limits our ability to raise the funds necessary to exercise our option to purchase the rocks, which will ensure our continued operation.

We are therefor currently soliciting donations to be able to exercise the option to purchase the rocks. Income Tax receipts are available by donating through the Ontario Sport Network

Or if you are uncomfortable donating online you can mail a cheque made out  to NSTF-Ontario to Blue Mountains Curling, Box 204, Thornbury ON N0H 2P0 and we can help you with the required paperwork to get your tax receipt.

Purchasing these rocks will ensure our long-term viability and allow us to continue providing curling as a recreational option for the residents of the Blue Mountains.
